“The opportunity I bring to you, Lions, is this: To foster and sponsor

the work of the American Foundation for the Blind. Will you not help

me hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness; no

little deaf, blind child untaught; no blind man or woman unaided? I

appeal to you Lions, you who have your sight, your hearing, you who

are strong and brave and kind. Will you not constitute yourselves

Knights of the Blind in this crusade against darkness?”

The 2023 Earth Day Mobile Bay Event was on April 22nd. The Event went from 10 am to 6 pm, and we had 12 Club members man our new Pop Up Tent throughout various times of the day. Four of the 12 are in the photo. They are from left to right: Lion Tom Johnston, Lion Laurel Holland, Lion Beth Johnston, and Lion Tom Holland. It was a Chamber of Commerce Day weather wise, and the turn out was terrific. We talked to a lot of people about what Lionism is, and how it serves those in need on the Eastern Shore.

Thank You! Fairhope Lions Club 18th Annual Golf Tournament
Thanks to the support of the Eastern Shore Community, our 18th Annual Golf Tournament held on October 6, 2024 at Quail Creek Golf Course in Fairhope was a huge success. The generosity of the Players and Sponsors was overwhelming and will enable us to provide eye exams and glasses, feed the hungry, help children with cancer & diabetes, support our youth, and much more over the course of the next year. Lions exist to Serve, and your support helps us do that. Thank you again for being part of our tournament, and please plan on joining us next year on October 5th at Quail Creek for our 19th Annual Golf Tournament. Fairhope Lions Club
Our Lion Family
Fairhope Lions, I hope this message finds you all in high spirits and filled with a sense of purpose. Today, I want to take a moment to express from the depths of my heart the profound joy and privilege we share as Lions Club members in serving our communities. Each one of you is a testament to the unwavering spirit of compassion and dedication that defines our Lions family, and I do mean FAMILY! When I reflect on our collective efforts and the impact we make, I am reminded of the true essence of service. It is a calling that transcends boundaries, unites diverse individuals, and empowers us to create lasting change. As members of The Fairhope Lions Club, we have embraced this calling with open hearts and have committed ourselves to a journey that is both humbling and immensely rewarding. When I review our Service statistics it puts all of this front and center for me, and I hope you remember this impact when... -you are in the middle of a stressful week and you still find time to make it to a meeting. -you volunteer for a leadership position even though you feel more maxed out than a credit card. -you are involved in fund raising events, recruiting events, or volunteer service. -Life is beating you up, and you still donate your time, energy, and resources to our club. This reminds me what we do MATTERS! I love my Lions Family! Yours in Lionism, Chad Jackson Past President Fairhope Lions Club
